Here’s how nostalgia content, guides, and product roundups on this Site actually get made.
Where the Content Comes From
Nostalgia posts are built from real memory and research, cross-checked against release dates, original packaging, and other sources so we’re not just relying on fuzzy recollection. Product guides and roundups go through actual research and, where possible, hands-on testing before a single item makes the list.
Two Editors, One Standard
Between the two of us, we fact-check each other. If Tom writes a piece on 90s video games and gets a release date wrong, Carrie catches it, and vice versa. Having two sets of eyes on every post is part of how we keep the content accurate.
Editorial Independence
No brand, retailer, or manufacturer gets to write or influence what appears on this Site. Affiliate relationships help fund the work, but they don’t decide what makes a “best of” list. That’s covered in more detail at the Affiliate Disclosure page.
Updates Over Time
Product guides get revisited as prices change, items get discontinued, or better options come along. Nostalgia content occasionally gets updated too, when we track down a better source or a reader points out something we got wrong.
